WHO WE WORK WITH
POWER ONLY
In “Power Only” trucking, the driver does not provide their own trailer but instead hooks up to a trailer owned or leased by a third party, such as a logistics operator (3PL) or shipper. This arrangement is ideal for operators who prefer not to invest in trailers and seek flexibility in accepting jobs. By not having to own and maintain a trailer, drivers can quickly adapt to various loads and transportation requirements, optimizing efficiency and responsiveness to market needs.
DRY VAN / REEFER
“Dry Van” trailers are fully enclosed semi-trailers designed primarily for transporting non-perishable goods. They are ideal for hauling boxed, palletized, or loose cargo, providing protection from harsh external elements. On the other hand, “Reefer” units operate as closed systems that maintain a constant temperature by collecting, pumping, and removing heat. This feature makes them suitable for transporting temperature-sensitive products such as perishable foods, pharmaceuticals, and other delicate items, ensuring their integrity during transit.
HOTSHOT
Hotshot trucking is a mode of transportation for time-sensitive LTL (Less Than Truckload) freight, involving smaller or lighter cargo that must be delivered within tight deadlines. Hotshot drivers only require a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) if the gross weight of the freight exceeds 26,000 pounds. This type of transport is perfect for rapid and urgent deliveries, allowing drivers to use more nimble and flexible vehicles compared to traditional larger trucks, crucial for quick response to immediate shipping needs.
FLATBED
A “Flatbed” trailer is a type of open trailer with no sides or roof, pulled by a semi-truck, which facilitates the easy loading and unloading of goods. Flatbeds are highly versatile and often used to transport large, oversized items or materials that do not easily fit into a standard enclosed trailer. Items commonly transported on flatbeds include heavy machinery, construction materials, large vehicles, and other bulky goods that require more space or need to be loaded with a crane or forklift. Due to their open design, cargo on flatbed trailers must be secured with straps or tarps to protect against the elements during transport.
